These terms govern your use of Payfence. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. Please read them carefully.

The service

Payfence is a personal-finance app operated by Yellow Genie Ltd that helps you track accounts, transactions, budgets, bills, goals, debts and cashflow. It is provided for your personal, non-commercial use.

Your account

• You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account.
• You must provide accurate information and be at least 16 years old to use Payfence.
• Notify us promptly at hello@payfence.co if you suspect unauthorised access.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service. In particular, you will not:

• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the service or other users' data.
• Use Payfence for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose.
• Resell or commercially exploit the service without our written permission.

Not financial advice

Payfence is a tool for organising your own information. Forecasts, budgets and summaries are estimates based on the data you enter — they are not financial, investment, tax or legal advice. You are responsible for your own financial decisions.

Beta software

Some parts of Payfence, including the Android app, may be offered as a beta. Beta features are provided "as is", may change or be withdrawn, and can contain bugs. Please keep your own records and export your data regularly.

Your content

The data you enter remains yours. You grant us only the permission needed to store, process and display it so the service works for you. You can export or delete your data at any time, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Availability

We work hard to keep Payfence available and reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may update, suspend, or discontinue features from time to time.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, and Yellow Genie Ltd is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Payfence.

Termination

You may stop using Payfence and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are breached.

Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
